Ingredients/Components

  • butter or margarine - 1/4 lb
  • chopped nuts - 1 c
  • box yellow cake mix - 1 item
  • can crushed pineapple undrained - 1 item
  • coconut if desired - 1 c
  • can cherry pie filling or other flavor - 1 item

How to make dump cake:

In a 9 x 13-inch pan, spread the crushed pineapple with juice. Put the cherry pie filling on top and sprinkle with the cake mix. Top with the nuts and coconut. Cut pieces of butter onto the top of this. Do not mix; just dump or spread. Bake at 350° for 55 minutes.
