German apple cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- water - 1 2
- baking powder
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- vegetable oil - 1 c
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- 10x sugar
- orange juice - 1/3 c
- soft butter or margarine - 2 Tbsp
- baking apples - 5 item
How to make german apple cake:
Grease and flour 10-inch Bundt pan. Preheat oven to 350°. Slice apples thin and toss with 5 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Set aside. Mix together flour, sugar, salt, eggs, oil, vanilla, orange juice, baking powder and soda. Blend on low for 1 minute, then at medium beat for 3 minutes.Fill pan with alternating layers of batter and apples, making a total of 5 layers, starting and ending with batter. Bake 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours or until center comes out clean. Cool on rack. Make glaze. Drizzle on cake.
