Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1/2 c
- egg whites - 2 item
- Karo red label - 1 c
- chopped nuts or fruit - 3/4 c
How to make divinity fudge:
Combine Karo, water, salt and sugar; boil until a little tried in cold water is brittle (300°). Beat egg whites stiff and gradually beat in the boiling syrup. Whip until it begins to stiffen. Add vanilla and fruit or nuts; beat more and pour into a pan slightly oiled with Mazola. When cold, cut in squares.Recipe categories: Desserts, Candy, Fudge.
