Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 1 c
  • brown sugar - 1 c
  • margarine - 1 c
  • eggs - 3 item
  • flour - 4 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • cinnamon - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/4 tsp
  • dates - 1 lb
  • water - 3/4 c
  • chopped nuts - 1/2 c

How to make date pinwheel cookies:

Cream margarine and sugars. Add eggs and beat well. Blend in dry ingredients. Chill.

Combine filling ingredients and cook until thick. Cool. Roll dough 1/4 inch thick and spread with filling. Roll up and chill overnight. Slice and bake at 350°.
