  • eggs - 2 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • butter
  • cocoa - 3/4 c
  • confectioners sugar
  • baking powder
  • baking soda
  • vegetable oil - 1/2 c
  • boiling water - 1 c
  • all-purpose flour

How to make dark chocolate cake:

Frosting:6 Tbsp. butter3/4 c. cocoa2 2/3 c. confectioners sugar1/3 c. milk1 tsp. vanilla Heat oven to 350°. Grease and flour 2 round 9-inch pans. In large mixer bowl combine dry ingredients. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat on medium speed 2 minutes. Remove from mixer; stir in boiling water. Pour into prepared pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes. Cool cake in pan 10 minutes. Cool thoroughly before icing.

Frosting: Cream butter. Add cocoa and confectioners sugar alternately with milk. Blend in vanilla.
