Ingredients/Components
- chopped celery - 1/2 c
- chopped onion
- chopped green pepper - 1 Tbsp
- oil - 2 Tbsp
- flour - 1/4 c
- chicken broth
- milk or cream - 1/2 c
- diced, cooked chicken
- salt to taste - 1 item
How to make creamed chicken:
Cook celery, onion and green pepper in oil until tender. Blend flour into mixture. Stir in chicken broth and milk; cook to a smooth sauce, stirring constantly. Add chicken to sauce; season with salt. Heat mixture thoroughly. Serve on rice, toast or biscuits. Yields 4 servings.Recipe categories: Low protein, Main dish, Low Carb.
