- graham cracker crumbs - 1 pkg
- sugar - 1/4 c
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 5 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- cornstarch - 6 Tbsp
- eggs, separated - 6 item
- melted margarine - 1/4 c
- margarine - 2 Tbsp
How to make cream pie:
Filling:1 c. sugar1 tsp. salt6 Tbsp. cornstarch5 c. milk6 eggs, separated2 tsp. vanilla2 Tbsp. margarine Crush graham crackers. Add sugar and melted margarine. Press into 10-inch pie dish. Set aside.In saucepan, mix sugar, milk, salt and cornstarch. In separate bowl, separate eggs (beat egg yolks). Begin to bring mixture in saucepan to a boil, stirring constantly, over medium-high heat. When mixture is slightly thickened, add beaten egg yolks. When mixture boils, add vanilla and remaining margarine. Pour into shell. Cool at least 4 hours before serving.
