Country rice salad
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 Tbsp
- milk - 2 Tbsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- vinegar - 1 tsp
- pepper - 1/8 tsp
- jar chopped pimiento, drained - 1 oz
- prepared mustard - 1/4 c
- mayonnaise - 1/2 c
- finely chopped green pepper - 1/4 c
- finely chopped celery - 1/4 c
- sweet pickle relish - 1/4 c
- cooked rice, chilled
- finely chopped green onions including tops - 1/3 c
How to make country rice salad:
Salad:3 c. cooked rice, chilled1/4 c. sweet pickle relish1 (2 oz.) jar chopped pimiento, drained1/3 c. finely chopped green onions (including tops)1/4 c. finely chopped green pepper1/4 c. finely chopped celery Combine all dressing ingredients, except the milk. Set aside. In a large salad bowl, combine all salad ingredients.Pour dressing over rice mixture; stir gently. Add milk, if mixture is dry. Chill several hours before serving.
