  • sugar - 1/2 c
  • milk - 1/2 c
  • flour - 1 c
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • egg - 1 item
  • melted shortening - 2 Tbsp

How to make cottage pudding:

Mix all ingredients together well and bake in a 9 x 13-inch greased pan in a hot oven (375°) for 20 to 25 minutes. Serve warm with either a chocolate or lemon sauce.
