Ingredients/Components
- sliced carrots - 5 c
- salt - 1 tsp
- medium onion, chopped or cut in circles - 1 item
- small green pepper, chopped or cut in circles - 1 item
- can tomato soup - 1 3/4
- pepper - 1 tsp
- salad oil - 1/2 c
- Worcestershire sauce - 1 tsp
- prepared mustard - 1 tsp
- vinegar - 3/4 c
- sugar - 1 c
How to make copper pennies:
Cook carrots in salted water; drain and cool. Add to mixture of vinegar, sugar and tomato soup. Add onions, green pepper, oil, mustard and Worcestershire. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for at least 12 hours. Will keep indefinitely.Recipe categories: Low protein, Low sodium, Salads.
