Ingredients/Components
- melted shortening - 2/3 c
- eggs - 3 item
- brown sugar
- flour
- baking powder
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- nuts, chopped - 1 c
- chocolate chips - 1 pkg
How to make congo bars:
Cream together shortening, eggs and sugar. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well. Stir in nuts and chips. Line a 9 x 13 cake pan with wax paper. Pour into pan (you may have to add a little hot water to make it pour). Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cookie and brownie, Bar cookie.
