Comforting cookies
Ingredients/Components
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- granulated sugar - 2 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- chocolate chips - 12 oz
- vegetable oil - 2 c
- all-purpose flour - 4 c
- brown sugar, packed - 2 c
- quick oats
- corn flakes, coarsely crushed - 4 c
- pecans, chopped or any other kind of nuts optional - 1 c
How to make comforting cookies:
Preheat oven to 350°. In a very large mixing bowl, combine oil, eggs and vanilla. Add sugar; mix well. In a separate bowl, combine flour, soda and salt. Add to sugar mixture, beating until blended. Stir in corn flakes, oats, chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by tablespoonfuls 3-inches apart onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake until light brown, 9 to 10 minutes. Cool slightly on cookie sheet and remove to wire rack to cool completely. Yield: 9 dozen.Recipe categories: Desserts, Drop cookies, Cookie and brownie.
