Cold pea salad
Ingredients/Components
- frozen peas 2 lb
- chopped green onions - 3/4 c
- chopped celery - 1 c
- salt and pepper to taste - 1 item
- sour cream
- mayonnaise - 1 Tbsp
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- cashew pieces - 1/2 c
- crumbled crisp bacon - 1/2 c
How to make cold pea salad:
Dressing:1 c. sour cream1 Tbsp. mayonnaise juice of 1/2 lemon1/2 c. cashew pieces1/2 c. crumbled crisp bacon Thaw peas. Do not cook. When thawed, add rest of salad ingredients. Add dressing and toss. Just before serving, add nuts and bacon.Be sure peas are thoroughly thawed or dressing may make it look curdled.
