- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- Crisco - 1/2 c
How to make cold oven pound cake:
Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add flour, salt and baking powder alternately with milk. Beat 4 to 5 minutes. Add vanilla as you beat. Pour into tube pan (greased and floured). Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.Note: Oven must be cold when you put cake in. Do not preheat!
