  • sugar - 3 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • milk - 1 c
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • sticks margarine - 2 item
  • baking powder - 1/2 tsp
  • Crisco - 1/2 c

How to make cold oven pound cake:

Cream butter, Crisco and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat well. Add flour, salt and baking powder alternately with milk. Beat 4 to 5 minutes. Add vanilla as you beat. Pour into tube pan (greased and floured). Bake at 300° for 1 1/2 hours.

Note: Oven must be cold when you put cake in. Do not preheat!
