Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- flour
- brown sugar - 1 c
- oil - 1/3 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- egg - 1 item
- each: salt and nutmeg - 1 tsp
- each: soda and baking powder - 1 tsp
How to make coffee cake:
Mix flour, sugar, brown sugar, salt and nutmeg together. Take 3/4 cup of this mixture and to it add 1 teaspoon cinnamon and stir in 1/3 cup oil and set this aside. It will be used as topping.*To remainder of dry ingredients, add soda, baking powder, egg and buttermilk. Beat. Pour into two greased 9-inch cake pans. Sprinkle topping* over mixture and bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
