Coconut pound cake
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 8 oz
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- soda - 1/4 tsp
- plain flour - 3 c
- margarine soft - 1 c
- coconut flavoring - 1 tsp
- frozen coconut, thawed - 1 c
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream margarine. Gradually add sugar, beating until mixture is fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Sift flour, soda and salt and mix well. Add to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream, beginning and ending with flour mixture. Stir in coconut and flavoring.Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350° for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle of cake comes out clean. Cool in pan.
