Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- sour cream - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- butter - 1 c
- water - 3/4 c
- cold water - 1/4 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- stick butter - 3/4 item
- plain flour
- melted chocolate - 2 sq
- Carnation milk - 1 item
- chocolate - 2 sq
- Sift together flour, sugar, soda and salt
- 1/2 boxes 4x sugar - 1 item
How to make sour cream chocolate cake:
Preheat oven to 350°. Sift together flour, sugar, soda and salt. Add butter and sour cream. Beat a few minutes. Add chocolate. Add eggs, one at a time, vanilla and water. Beat 2 minutes. Bake in 3 layers.Chocolate Icing:1 1/2 c. sugar3/4 c. water1/4 tsp. salt2 sq. chocolate3/4 stick butter1 1/2 boxes 4x sugar1 tsp. vanilla Carnation milk Cook sugar, water, salt, chocolate and butter 3 to 4 minutes. Remove from heat and add 4x sugar and vanilla. While heating, add enough Carnation milk to spread easily.
