How to make coconut pound cake:
Beat sugar and Crisco until light and creamy. Add dry ingredients to sugar-Crisco mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each. Start in cool oven. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325°.Sauce:1 c. sugar2 Tbsp. coconut flavoring1/2 c. water Mix and boil 5 minutes. Pour over hot cake.
