Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 6 item
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- evaporated milk - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- lemon juice - 1 Tbsp
- sifted all-purpose flour - 3 c
- sticks butter - 3 item
- cans Angel Flake coconut - 2 item
How to make coconut pound cake:
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time and beat after each. Sift together dry ingredients and add to cream mixture alternately with milk and lemon juice. Add coconut. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 1 to 1 hour and 15 minutes or 325° for 1 hour and 30 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Lunch/snacks.
