  • sugar - 2 c
  • eggs - 5 item
  • water - 1/2 c
  • buttermilk - 1 c
  • self-rising flour - 2 c
  • Crisco - 1 c
  • can coconut - 1 item
  • coconut flavoring - 1 tsp
  • Add eggs, one at a time

How to make coconut pound cake:

Cream together sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, one at a time. Beat 2 minutes between each egg. Add other ingredients. Beat. Bake in an angel food pan for 1 hour at 350°. Top with glaze.Glaze:1 c. sugar1/2 c. water1 tsp. coconut flavoring Boil for one minute; pour over cake while hot.
