Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 10 Tbsp
- eggs - 3 item
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- milk - 3/8 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 1 c
- butter - 5 Tbsp
- coconut - 1 c
- baking powder
- white powdered sugar - 1 c
How to make coconut meringue cake:
Cream butter with sugar, add 3 egg yolks and beat. Add vanilla. Sift flour, salt and baking powder. Beat 3 egg whites until firm, add 1 cup powdered sugar, fold in 1 cup coconut. Pour cake batter in greased and floured Pyrex pan. Spread meringue on top and bake at 325° until well done or toothpick comes out clean.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, < 4 hours.
