Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 Tbsp
  • water
  • egg yolks - 3 item
  • large can evaporated milk - 1 item
  • can flake coconut - 1 item

How to make coconut cream pie:

Mix flour and sugar together in top of double boiler. Add slightly beaten egg yolks, milk and water. Cook over simmering water until thick. Add vanilla and coconut. Save 1/4 coconut for meringue. Pour into 9-inch baked pie shell; top with meringue and sprinkle with coconut. Bake until light brown in 350° oven.
