Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 3 Tbsp
- water
- egg yolks - 3 item
- large can evaporated milk - 1 item
- can flake coconut - 1 item
How to make coconut cream pie:
Mix flour and sugar together in top of double boiler. Add slightly beaten egg yolks, milk and water. Cook over simmering water until thick. Add vanilla and coconut. Save 1/4 coconut for meringue. Pour into 9-inch baked pie shell; top with meringue and sprinkle with coconut. Bake until light brown in 350° oven.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
