Ingredients/Components
- sugar
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 3/4 c
- flour
- butter - 3/4 c
- egg yolks - 5 item
- baking powder
- egg whites - 3 item
- coconut, grated - 1 item
- milk sweet - 1 c
- Beat 5 egg yolks and 3 egg whites with butter and sugar
How to make coconut cake:
Cream butter and sugar until very light. Beat 5 egg yolks and 3 egg whites with butter and sugar. Add vanilla and 3/4 cup milk. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add to other mixture. Put into four greased and floured pans. Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.Coconut Icing:2 c. sugar1 c. milk (sweet)2 egg whites1 coconut, grated Mix sugar and milk together; boil for 1 minute. Pour over beaten egg whites. Add coconut and put cake together while hot. Reserve some coconut to put on top and sides.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Egg.
