Ingredients/Components

  • sugar - 3/4 c
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • salt - 1/2 tsp
  • flour - 2 c
  • soda - 1 tsp
  • eggs, beaten - 2 item
  • margarine - 1/3 c
  • can fruit cocktail, undrained - 1 item
  • Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped nuts on top

How to make cocktail cake:

Mix ingredients as given and pour into 13 x 9-inch greased pan. Sprinkle 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/2 cup chopped nuts on top. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. While warm, frost with Icing.Icing:1/2 c. canned milk3/4 c. sugar1/3 c. margarine1 tsp. vanilla Boil for 1 minute and pour on top of cake.
