Cinnamon biscuits
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/4 c
- cinnamon - 1 item
- milk - 2/3 c
- confectioners sugar
- shortening - 1/2 c
- stick butter - 1/4 item
- self-rising flour - 2 c
- milk more or less - 3 Tbsp
How to make cinnamon biscuits:
Sugar Glaze:1 c. confectioners sugar3 Tbsp. milk (more or less) Sift flour into bowl, cut in shortening. Stir in milk and knead into biscuit dough. Roll out dough into a rectangle shape (about 15 inches long x 10 inches wide). Melt butter and spread over dough. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar over entire dough. Roll up like a jelly roll and cut in 1 inch pieces. Put in a pan and bake in a 375° oven for 20 minutes. Top with sugar glaze.Glaze: Mix ingredients until a smooth consistency is acquired, then smooth over biscuits.
