Chuck wagon stew
Ingredients/Components
- cinnamon - 1 Tbsp
- salt - 2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 2 Tbsp
- lard - 3 Tbsp
- ground cloves - 1 tsp
- paprika - 1 Tbsp
- clove garlic, minced - 1 item
- chili powder - 1 tsp
- chopped carrots - 2 c
- can tomatoes - 1 oz
- chopped potatoes - 2 c
- sliced onions - 2 item
- crushed red peppers - 1/2 1

How to make chuck wagon stew:
Coat beef in a mixture of flour, paprika, 1 teaspoon chili powder and salt. Brown in hot fat in a large Dutch oven. Add onions and garlic. Cook until soft, then add tomatoes, chili powder (3 tablespoons), cinnamon, cloves and peppers. Cover and simmer 2 hours. Add potatoes and carrots and cook until vegetables are done (about 45 minutes). Makes 6 to 8 servings.Note: If beef is not available, armadillo, Jack rabbit or rattle snake may be used.
