Chocolate upside-down cake
Ingredients/Components
- vanilla - 3/4 tsp
- granulated sugar - 3/4 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- butter or margarine
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- brown sugar - 1/2 c
- cocoa - 3 Tbsp
- baking powder
- sifted flour - 3/4 c
- chopped black walnuts - 3/4 c
- sugar, granulated - 1/2 c
- Sift cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt
How to make chocolate upside-down cake:
Cream sugar and butter. Sift cocoa, flour, baking powder and salt. Add to creamed mixture. Add milk and flavoring and beat for 1 1/2 minutes. Fold in nuts and pour in glass loaf pan. Pour sauce over batter and bake at 350° for 35 minutes.Sauce:1 1/3 c. water1/2 c. sugar, granulated1/2 c. brown sugar3 Tbsp. cocoa Bring all ingredients to a boil.
