Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- baking soda - 2 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 3/4 c
- corn syrup - 1/4 c
- sifted flour
- baking chocolate, melted - 2 sq
How to make chocolate snappers:
Combine sugar, shortening and egg; beat until creamy. Stir in corn syrup and melted chocolate. Sift together flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt; blend in gradually. Shape into balls, using 1 level tablespoon for each cookie. Roll balls in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes. Let stand a few minutes before removing from sheet.
