Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- all-purpose flour - 2 c
- cocoa - 1/3 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- 2 sticks margarine - 1 c
- water - 1 c
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- eggs - 2 item
- pure vanilla - 1 tsp
- Heat margarine and water in saucepan until boiling
- milk - 6 Tbsp
- powdered sugar - 4 c
- chopped walnuts - 1 c
How to make chocolate sheet cake:
Combine sugar, flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a large mixing bowl; mix well. Heat margarine and water in saucepan until boiling. Pour over dry ingredients; mix well. Beat in buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.Pour thin batter in greased and floured 15 x 10-inch pan. Bake in 400° oven 20 minutes. Serve warm or cold.Frosting for Chocolate Sheet Cake:1 stick margarine1/4 c. cocoa6 Tbsp. milk4 c. powdered sugar1 c. chopped walnuts Combine margarine, cocoa and milk. Heat to boiling; pour over sugar and nuts; mix well. Spread on hot cake.
