Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 2 c
- cinnamon - 1 tsp
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- water - 1 c
- soda - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 4 Tbsp
- buttermilk - 1/2 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- box powdered sugar - 1 item
- eggs, slightly beaten - 2 item
- stick oleo - 1 item
- sweet milk - 6 Tbsp
- pecans optional - 1/2 c
- Frosting:1 stick oleo
How to make chocolate sheath cake:
Frosting:1 stick oleo4 Tbsp. cocoa6 Tbsp. sweet milk1 tsp. vanilla1 box powdered sugar1/2 c. pecans (optional) Bring oleo, Crisco, cocoa and water to a boil. Pour over dry ingredients, stirring well. Mix buttermilk, eggs and vanilla; add soda while slightly beating. Mix thoroughly and pour into a 13 x 9-inch pan that has been greased. Bake 30 minutes in a preheated 350° oven.Frosting: Boil oleo, cocoa and milk. Add vanilla. Beat until smooth; add nuts and pour over cake while it is warm.
