Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 2 tsp
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted cake flour - 3 c
- sweet milk - 1 c
- sticks butter or margarine - 2 item
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream shortening and butter; add sugar and beat and cream until well blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and dry ingredients together three times. Add to other mixture alternately with milk, to which vanilla has been added. Blend thoroughly. Turn into a greased and floured tube pan.
