- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- sticks margarine - 2 item
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- pinch of salt - 1 item
- vegetable shortening - 1/2 c
- sifted flour - 3 c
- sweet milk
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Cream shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour, baking powder, salt and cocoa together; then sift 3 more times. Add milk and flour mixture alternately. Add vanilla. Bake at 325° for 1 hour and 10 minutes or until done.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
