- sugar - 3 c
- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- flour - 3 c
- cocoa - 1/2 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- sticks butter or margarine - 3 item
How to make chocolate pound cake:
Sift dry ingredients together. Cream butter and sugar until very light. Add 4 of the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition. Add dry ingredients and milk alternately to the creamed mixture. Add the vanilla, then thoroughly beat the last egg into the batter. Pour into 10-inch tube pan that has been greased and lightly floured. Bake in 325° oven for 1 1/2 hours.
