butter, softened - 1/2 c
cocoa - 4 Tbsp
flour
milk - 1/2 c
nuts - 1/2 c
brown sugar, packed - 1 c
egg - 1 item
baking powder - 1 tsp
vanilla add to milk - 1 tsp

How to make chocolate drop cookies:

Place softened butter, sugar and egg in large mixing bowl. Beat until well creamed. Add chocolate; blend. Sift dry ingredients together and add alternately with milk/vanilla mixture to the butter and sugar mixture. Beat only long enough to form a soft dough, about 2 minutes. Add nuts and beat a few strokes. Drop from teaspoon on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake about 10 to 12 minutes at 400°.

Note: Makes 50 small or 40 average cookies. Ice when cool with chocolate icing if desired.
