Ingredients/Components

  • granulated sugar - 1/2 c
  • vanilla extract - 1 tsp
  • large eggs - 3 item
  • light corn syrup - 1 c
  • stick melted margarine - 1/2 item
  • unbaked 9-inch deep-dish pie shell - 1 item
  • semi-sweet chocolate chunks - 3/4 c
  • pecan halves, coarsely chopped - 1 c

How to make chocolate chunk pecan pie:

Preheat oven to 350°. Combine eggs, corn syrup, sugar, margarine and vanilla extract in medium bowl with a wire whisk. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle chunks over bottom of crust. Pour pecan mixture into pie shell. Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted 2-inches from center comes out with little bits of filling attached. If browning to quickly, cover with foil. Cook for 2 hours. Refrigerate until served.
