- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- milk
- salt - 1/8 tsp
- flour
- butter - 1/4 c
- baking powder - 3/4 tsp
- baking soda - 3/4 tsp
- shortening - 1/4 c
- baking cocoa - 3/4 c
How to make chocolate cake:
Grease and flour 9 x 13-inch pan. Cream butter, shortening, sugar and vanilla until fluffy; blend in eggs. Combine cocoa, flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt in bowl; add alternately with milk to batter. Blend well. Pour into pan. Bake at 350° for 35 to 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool and frost as desired.Recipe categories: Desserts, Chocolate, Cakes.
