  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • semi-sweet chocolate chips - 1 c
  • powdered sugar
  • margarine - 1/4 c
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • Chex brand cereal corn or rice - 9 c

How to make chex muddy buddies:

Pour cereal into large bowl; set aside. In 1 quart microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine. Microwave on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth, stirring each minute. Stir in vanilla extract. Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Pour cereal mixture into large resealable plastic bag with powdered sugar. Seal securely and shake until all pieces are well coated. Spread on wax paper to cool.
