Ingredients/Components

  • vanilla extract - 1/4 tsp
  • chocolate chips - 1 c
  • stick butter - 1/2 item
  • powdered sugar
  • peanut butter - 1/2 c
  • Chex cereal corn, rice or wheat - 9 c

How to make chex muddy buddies:

Pour cereal into large bowl and set aside.

In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and butter. Microwave on High 1 to 1 1/2 minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in vanilla.

Pour chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Then pour cereal mix into plastic bag with powdered sugar. Seal bag and shake until all pieces are well-coated. Spread on waxed paper until cool. Store in airtight container. Makes 9 cups.
