  • eggs - 4 item
  • vanilla - 2 tsp
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • flour - 3 c
  • brown sugar - 4 c
  • soda - 2 tsp
  • baking powder - 2 tsp
  • shortening - 2 c
  • quick oats - 6 c

How to make chewy oatmeal cookies:

Chill overnight. Make into balls and roll in powdered sugar. Place on greased cookie sheet and bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes. Makes 6 dozen.
