Cherry pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1/2 c
- milk - 1/2 c
- flour - 1 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- egg - 1 item
- shortening - 1 Tbsp
- 2 can sour pie cherries, sweetened to taste
How to make cherry pudding:
Pour cherries in a 2 1/2 to 3-quart deep dish casserole dish. In medium-size mixing bowl, beat shortening, sugar and egg together. Sift flour and baking powder together. Add flour mixture and milk alternately to the wet ingredients. Bake in oven at 375° for 30 minutes.Note: This tastes great with 1 teaspoon almond flavoring added.
