Cherry pecan bread
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- eggs - 2 item
- vanilla - 1 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 tsp
- flour - 2 c
- butter - 1/2 c
- buttermilk - 1 c
- baking soda - 1 tsp
- 10 oz - 1 c
How to make cherry pecan bread:
Cream butter, sugar and eggs until light and fluffy. Sift flour, soda and salt together. Add to creamed mixture with buttermilk. Beat until blended. Stir in nuts and cherries. Add vanilla.Pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350° for 55 to 60 minutes. Glaze if desired.
To help keep cherries from sinking to bottom, flour before adding to batter.
