- stick butter - 1 item
- cans cherry pie filling - 2 oz
- chopped pecans or walnuts - 1 c
- white or yellow cake mix - 1 pkg
How to make cherry dump cake:
In a greased 9 x 13-inch pan, put the cherry pie filling; spread evenly. Dump dry cake mix onto the cherry layer. Spread evenly. Sprinkle pecans or walnuts over the cake mix. Put 1 stick of butter cut in thin slices over the top. Bake for 50 minutes in a 325° oven to a golden brown. Serve cooled with whipped cream or ice cream.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, Fruit.
