Caramel pudding
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 1 c
- eggs - 4 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- water - 3 Tbsp
- cream - 3 c
- slivered almonds optional - 1 item
How to make caramel pudding:
Melt 1 cup of sugar in skillet until light brown. Add boiling water and stir constantly until syrup forms. Coat bottom and sides of ring mold or baking dish with syrup.In separate bowl, beat eggs, 1 1/2 tablespoons sugar, vanilla and cream. Pour mixture in coated baking dish.
Bake in pan of hot water in slow oven (300°) for 40 minutes or until mixture does not adhere to knife. Cool and unmold on platter. Serve with its own sauce.
