Caramel pecan pie
Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 2 item
- margarine - 1/4 c
- caramels - 28 item
How to make caramel pecan pie:
Preheat oven to 350°. Unwrap caramels and place in pot with water and margarine on low heat. Stir occasionally until melted and smooth. In a separate bowl, combine sugar, salt, vanilla and beaten eggs. Gradually add caramel mixture, mixing well. Stir in pecans. Pour into pie shell and bake for 30 minutes. Makes 8 servings.If desired, instead of the 1/4 cup water, add 1/4 cup of Kahlua. This gives the pie a nice flavor.
