Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 3/4 c
- vanilla - 1/2 tsp
- salt - 1/4 tsp
- water - 1/4 c
- eggs, beaten - 3 item
- margarine - 1/4 c
- pecan halves - 1 c
- caramels - 36 item
- 9-inch pie shell, unbaked - 1 item
How to make caramel pecan pie:
Melt caramels in water and margarine over low heat. Stir until smooth. Combine sugar, salt, vanilla and eggs in another bowl. Gradually add caramel sauce, mix well. Stir in pecan halves. Pour in pie shell. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Pie will appear to be very soft, but becomes firm as it cools.Recipe categories: Desserts, Pie, Pies and tarts.
