- eggs - 5 item
- vanilla - 1 Tbsp
- milk - 1 c
- salt - 1/2 Tbsp
- chopped nuts - 1 c
- butter - 1 c
- baking powder - 1/2 tsp
- all-purpose flour - 3 c
- Crisco - 1/2 c
- light brown sugar - 1 lb
- white sugar - 1 c
How to make caramel nut pound cake:
Cream butter, Crisco, brown sugar and white sugar. Add eggs, one at a time. Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add alternately with milk to the batter. Add vanilla and nuts. Pour into a well-greased and floured 10-inch tube pan. Bake at 325° for 1 1/2 hours. Cool in pan for 15 minutes.Recipe categories: Desserts, Cakes, American.
