Ingredients/Components

  • cream cheese - 6 oz
  • vanilla - 1 tsp
  • caramels
  • Cup sugar - 2/3 item
  • Cup milk - 1/2 item
  • Cup flour - 2 item
  • Cup crisco - 1/2 item
  • sticks oleo 1 Cup - 2 item
  • Icing:1/2 Cup oleo

How to make caramel cups:

Caramel Sauce:1 lb. caramels1/2 Cup milk Icing:1/2 Cup oleo1/2 Cup crisco2 oz. cream cheese2/3 Cup sugar3/4 Cup milk1 tsp. vanilla Cut crust ingredients like pastry. Press into tassie pans and bake at 350 for 15 minutes. Then cool.

Melt caramels and milk in double boiler. Then fill tassie cups with caramel sauce about 3/4 full.

Mix oleo, crisco and cream cheese. Let stand. Mix sugar, milk and vanilla. Let stand 20 minutes. Mix all together and beat until fluffy. Spread over caramel sauce and sprinkle with a few crushed walnuts (optional).
