Caramel brownies
Ingredients/Components
- chopped pecans - 1 c
- pkg - 1 oz
- evaporated milk - 2/3 c
- melted margarine - 1/2 c
- chocolate chips - 1 c
- German chocolate cake mix - 1 layer)
How to make caramel brownies:
Melt caramels in 1/3 cup evaporated milk in saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally. Beat remaining 1/3 cup evaporated milk, cake mix and margarine in bowl. Pour half the batter into greased 9 x 13-inch baking dish. Bake at 350° for 6 minutes. Sprinkle with pecans and chocolate chips.Spread melted caramels over chocolate chips. Top with remaining cake batter. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until edges pull from sides of dish. Cool. Cut into bars. Yields approximately 24 servings.
