Ingredients/Components
- sugar - 4 c
- cinnamon - 2 tsp
- salt - 1 tsp
- water - 10 c
- lemon juice - 3 Tbsp
- clear jel
How to make canned apple pie filling:
Cook all ingredients until thick. Fill quart jar 1/2 full of sliced apples. Put some sauce in jar to cover apples. Fill jar with more apples, then more sauce. Fill to 1-inch top of jar. Makes 6 to 7 quarts.Recipe categories: Low protein, Fruit, Apple.
