- granulated sugar - 2 c
- baking powder - 1 tsp
- all-purpose flour
- powdered sugar - 1/2 c
- lemon juice - 6 Tbsp
- grated lemon peel - 1 tsp
- 1/2 lb - 1 c
How to make buttery lemon squares:
In a large bowl, cream butter and the 1/2 cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Add 2 cups of flour and beat until blended. Spread evenly in a well-greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan. Bake in a 350° oven for 20 minutes.In a small bowl, beat eggs until light and frothy. Gradually add granulated sugar.
